The satellite image covers an area of roughly 2,500 km² in the North of Niamey, Niger during the dry season. The green color represents vegetation, the light brown color represents bright bare soils and the dark brown color represents dark bare soils. The water bodies (in blue) are potential breeding sites for mosquitoes and locations where the nomads gather to water their cattle.
